Spotted ("the App") is built with privacy as a core principle. This policy explains how the App handles your information.

Data Collection

Spotted does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All location data, visit history, and route information is stored exclusively on your device.

Location Data

The App uses your device's location services to:

• Automatically detect places you visit (visit detection mode)
• Record detailed routes when you enable continuous tracking

This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to Spotted's developers, any third-party service, or any server of any kind.

Network Requests

The App may make network requests in the following limited circumstances:

• Geocoding (optional): If you enable network geocoding in Settings, the App may send coordinates to Apple's geocoding service to retrieve human-readable addresses. This is an Apple system service and is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
• App Store: If you make a purchase, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Spotted does not process or store payment information.

Data Export

You can export your data at any time in JSON, CSV, or Markdown format. Exported files are generated locally on your device. What you do with exported data is your responsibility.

Analytics and Tracking

Spotted does not include any analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or advertising frameworks. There are no user accounts, no sign-ups, and no tracking pixels.

Third-Party Services

Spotted does not share data with any third parties. The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from within the App's Settings. Deleting the App also removes all stored data permanently, as no data exists outside your device.

Children's Privacy

Spotted does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, the App does not pose data-collection risks to minors.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
